Our History

A little history about the property….

Prior to being purchased in 2013 by Drew Boyles, the property at 212 Eucalyptus was the original location of Tyler Surfboards, El Segundo’s iconic maker and shaper of beautiful, high-performance surfboards for over 30 years, owned and operated by the legendary Tyler Hatzikian.

When Tyler outgrew his original space and was ready to sell the building, his friend and fellow surfer Drew jumped at the chance to own a piece of El Segundo history in this ideal location, and made the industrial and office space his own, operating his many businesses from the original building and commissioning artist (INSERT NAME) to paint a surf mural on the front of it to honor the history of the building and his passion for the sport.

When Drew’s own businesses too began to outgrow the space, a new vision began to take shape and Roots on Eucalyptus was born. While the building is new construction, you’ll find some evidence of these original roots inside the building when you come to visit the finished space.
